Inhuman!Soldiers punishing a civilian at Mararaba, Nasarawa State, Nigeria on Saturday.

This is a gross violation of human right. No matter the crime committed by the person his fundamental right should be protected untill prescribed otherewise by a competent court.

The military authorities should fish out the perpetrators and punish them accordingly!
Nigeria should not be turned into a jungle! Every military man should understand that his or her legitimacy lies with the masses - without the masses there is no military. It is also necessary to let them know that having a standing army is an option and not a necessity - if you doubt this, go ask Costa Ricans, Liechtenstein, among other nations.

Though one may say that Nigeria is faced with many security challenges that requires a standing army's intervention, but it is pertinent to state that a better equipped and highly motivated police force would have done most of the things the Nigerian army are doing at the moment that made them to be coming in contact with the civilians almost on daily basis.
