"A Landlocked Biafra"

I've heard many people from other tribes make utterances regarding the ability of a Biafra based only on south-east states surviving on its own and i feel its an insult to the renowned creativity of my people, hence the need to make these clarifications:
1. Being a landlocked country doesn't mean that a country can't prosper on its own. For instance, Switzerland is a landlocked country, yet it is ranked as one of the richest countries in the world. Other landlocked countries are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Hungary, Paraguay, Uganda, Macedonia etc.
The last time i checked, these countries are still up and running. some of them are technology powerhouses. (Nigeria imports arms from Belarus and Hungary).

2. Having access to a coastline does guarantee automatic economic benefits (apart from cheap POINT & KILL delicacy). It takes good policies and prudent implementation of these policies to turn this natural assets to economic benefits. The last time my friend imported vehicles, into Nigeria he did so through Cotonou Port.

3. Even if a landlocked country is in dire need of access to a waterway or sea coast, there are international conventions and declarations sanctioned by the United Nations that guarantees such country access to a neighbouring sea coast.
They include - Convention on Transit Trade of Land-locked states,
And "Declaration recognising the Right to a Flag of States having no Sea-coast".

I do not support the secession of my people from Nigeria, yet i do not want my son Great to be denied opportunities in his country because he was born an Igbo man.

It is unfortunate that Nigeria is filled with so many tribal bigots who unfortunately parades themselves as "statesmen" and "patriots".
It is more saddening that the younger generation of Nigerians are culpable in this degeneration.

Every time i read newspapers online, i see a lot of young Nigerians making negative aspersions on other tribes and most times the Igbos are subject of this attack. Though i always avoid joining issues with such people, but i do so bearing my pain of not "revenging" in silence. Believing that such people do not qualify to be called HUMANBEINGS. (Why? Because, Humans are designed to be higher animals but when a man exhibits a BEASTLY Trait why should one deny him or her such TITLE).
For me, secession is not really necessary if there are genuine efforts to address the issues hampering true federalism and equity in Nigeria.
But if it becomes "needful", with or without the South-South coastlines, the Igbos would build a POWERFUL STATE.
(Just making UNCOMMON SENSE!)
