A REFLECTION on society- (Ndigbo choose your paths)

The life of a sheep is easier than the life of a lion. Sheep are given comfort and protection by the shepherd. But these comforts bind the sheep into slavery.

The sheep are bred to be of weaker mind and body, to require the shepherd's protection so much that they can be free of physical chains but never stray. Theirs is a lifetime of servitude - one that is comfortable but ends at the shepherd's whim.
But lions have no masters, hence it is free to roam where it wishes and feeds on anything it catches.
The Nigerian society after the war was structured to make the average Igbo man to choose the life of a sheep - they desire freedom but rely on the selfish and ethnically biased leaders to provide their 'meager' comforts.
They scream in protest when they are fenced in (poor road networks, denial of appointments into sensitive positions, massacre etc), yet at the end they'll accept the shepherd's food nonetheless.
It is pertinent to state that humans are not born as sheep or lions but must choose a PATH for themselves. Will you strive for what is easy and safe? (e.g non-violent approach in a country whose leaders listen only to violent groups?) Or will you travel the path of freedom, EXPLORING FREELY IN THE DANGEROUS FORESTS OF LIFE and confronting 'life' and enemies of freedom with the COURAGE of a LION?
At sunset, the sheep are herded back into their prison and fed until they drift into sleep. The lion enjoys no such goodies, wandering upon the mountains in search of a meal: hungry but FREE.
Though it lacks the comforts the sheep are given, a LION never wishes for the life of a sheep. A LION MAY HUNGER WHILE A SHEEP IS FED, BUT THE FATTEST SHEEP IS THE LION"S MEAL!
AFTER 1945, THE JEWS SWORE NEVER TO BE SHEEP AGAIN.
WHEN WILL THE IGBOS TAKE SIMILAR DECISION?
WHO WILL GIVE US SELFLESS LEADERSHIP? - FEARLESS LIKE A LION? NOT 'COWED' BY ANY MAN, DOLLAR OR EURO?
As for me, i've chosen the PATH to follow - THE LION PATH and i am ready to play my path in extricating Ndigbo from the position of an ENDANGERED SPECIE.
